Happy New Year 2016

Good Morning World, Welcome to 2016!

I missed New Years because apparently at 32 years old, I can’t stay up past 9. I am not alone though, my husband was asleep not long after that. Our 11 year old daughter stayed up til 12:08 and rang in the New Year alone. When asked if she yelled Happy New year, she replied with a “Nah, I just whispered it!”

2015 was a great year! Lots of Love, Laughs, and Fun. While we didn’t fly around the world, we took many little family day trips. We celebrated 11th, 2nd, and 6th birthdays with friends and family. We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary as Mr.&Mrs. Hume. We suffered loss and celebrated a life well lived when our Grandfather passed. We accepted challenges and fears during the first year in Middle School transition. I left my job and work family that I had come to know and love in the almost 8 years of my employment, to greet new challenges in a different career. Of all the things that happened or that I participated in during 2015, my favorite was watching my children grow and getting to be part of each and every milestone/achievement that they had along the way.

2016, the New Year, the next 365 pages to write in the story of my life. I anticipate that it too, will be filled with Love, Laughs, and Fun. We will celebrate milestone birthdays this year, my Husbands 40th and my sisters 30th. I will get to spend another year being the wife to a wonderful, amazing man. I will continue to watch my children grow and meet each new milestone. I don’t have New Year’s resolutions, I feel that they are pointless in my life. My husband and I have a couple goals for 2016 that we plan to accomplish, they were the goals that we started late 2015. I look forward to writing and sharing on my blog, I enjoy writing and hope to do more of it this coming year.

Happy 2016 to you all, May your year be filled with Love, Laughs, and Fun. I am off to spend a fun filled first day of this year with a beach walk and sledding trip, with my girls and husband.

Cheers
