A Graduation Gift

I was on pinterest a while ago searching through my favorite DIY and Crafts search when I came across this really awesome idea. The idea came from here (http://lisasworkshop.blogspot.ca/2011/06/oh-places-youll-go-end-of-school-year.html). The idea is for a graduation gift for your child that is years in the making. Purchase a copy of the Dr. Seuss book “Oh the places you’ll go!” and each year have your child’s teacher write a little note in the book. When your child graduates from high school, you can give them the book as a graduation gift.

I am in love with this idea, so much that I went out and purchased 3 copies of the book “Oh the places you’ll go!” by Dr. Seuss for my children. My oldest daughter is currently in Grade 4, so I am starting her book kind of late but she still has lots of years left to go in school. For my other daughter it is a perfect time to start this, she is graduating from preschool in less than a months’ time. I also got a copy for our youngest, she is only 1, so there is lots of time before we need to start hers. But I have a copy of the book for when it is time. I am thinking I should get copies of this book for my niece and nephew for a graduation gift for them; I am just not sure my sister would remember to get it signed each year. Something for me to think about I guess.
