Happiness in the Making!
Many years ago a seamstress was born, as a child she used to collect strings and threads to use to create projects. As she grew into an adult her passion for sewing grew with her, she worked many different jobs but none seemed to make her happy. Sewing was her passion and she dreamed of ways to turn her passion into a business. The women worked a second job as a seamstress altering clothing, sewing silks, and doing most any sewing project people asked her to try. This women is my Mother!
She is trying to create her business sewing children’s clothing and many other items while still focusing on the alterations that people need. She does a fantastic job sewing; many have said her talent is amazing. She has fixed many a broken prom dress, she has the ability to make them smaller or larger if needed. She has done the same with many brides and bridesmaids. She has taken girls ideas of their dream dress and created it for them from scratch. She can create wedding veils, Roman blinds, and pillows. Her sewing talent knows no bounds. But she never forgets the basics when someone needs a pair of pants hemmed or buttons fixed, people know where to call.
My children love to wear the dresses that she has created. The best part is that the dresses can grow with them, the dress that my 2 year old wears as a dress, my 5 year old can wear it as a long shirt with leggings, and my 9 year old can wear it as a shirt with jeans. As a Mom on limited income I think this AMAZING! I can get so much use out of one dress. I am hoping to get many more clothing articles to try on my girls (wink wink)
She has so many more ideas of items to make for children I can’t wait to see them when they are completed. She is also working on an item for me, Reusable grocery bags; I am so excited for them. I love reusable items and handmade, homemade items. I am very proud of what my Mother is trying to achieve and am excited to be a part of it.
